Niloak Pottery started in Benton, Arkansas in the latter part of the 1800's. The most popular and most collectible of the Niloak line seem to be the marbleized pieces especially those that incorporate blue into the swirling patterns. He received a pattern for this swirl technique in 1928. This ashtray has alot of blue as well as terra cotta, cream, yellow, sage green, brown and tan. The ashtray measures 6" across the center and kis 1 1/2" deep. This is a great piece !
