This cranberry glass pitcher has an enameled grape and leaves design and was most likely made in the 1880's or 1890's. It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs and it has good cranberry color. There are small air bubbles and inclusions in the glass (a couple small grains of sand and dirt) and there are remains of other branches and leaves that were most likely applied in gold and have worn off through the years. It has a large polished pontil mark on the base (see photos), a heavy wear ring on the base that is consistent with its age and an applied clear glass handle. This enameled cranberry glass pitcher is 6 1/2" high, 4 1/4" across from spout tip to handle end, 3 1/2" in diameter at its widest point and 2 1/2" in diameter at the base.
