Early Chinese Export octagonal shaped, lidded black lacquer box profusely decorated with traditional Chinese scenes in gilt. It stands of four gilt animal paw feet. We have seen similar items described as Georgian Chinoiserie. Has partially legible Chinese character mark in the bottom of the interior. Brittle lacquer / paint losses and cracks as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number. Measurements: 11 1/8" wide by 8" deep by 5.25" tall approximately.
