This is a very nice hand formed iron draw knife with a laminated steel cutting edge. The line you see on the back side (last picture) is where the steel is laminated to the iron handle section. The hardwood handles are attached by both an iron hook at the end and also supported by the iron ferrules on the front of the handle. The handles are solid, show little wear and have a nice patina. The blade on the draw knife is good, but hasn't been honed in many years. A nice looking primitive tool to add to your collection!
