This is a beautiful ruby stained glass decanter in the Aurora pattern. It was made by the Brilliant Glass Works of Brilliant, OH circa 1888 to 1902. It was also produced by Greensburg Glass Co. of Greensburg, PA 1890’s. The pattern is also known as Diamond Horseshoe. The ruby stain items were decorated by the Pioneer Glass Co. of Pittsburgh, PA. This decanter is 10-1/4 inches tall and 3-3/4 inches in diameter at the shoulder of the bottle. The bottom diameter is 3-1/4 inches. There is a very small flake on the very bottom edge of about 1/4 inch diameter. There is also some staining on the inside of the bottle but I believe it will come out. The ruby stain is in excellent condition. There may be some bubbles and straw marks but there are no other chips, flakes or cracks. (MIDSHFL-XX92)
