This is a great spoon holder in the Ornate Star pattern. It was made by the Tarentum Glass Co. of Tarentum, PA circa 1907-1912. It is also known as; Ladders and Diamonds with Star: Lucas; Divided Star; and as Tarentum Star. This spooner is 4-1/4 inches tall and 4-1/4 inches in diameter. There are two missing scallops on the rim. There is also a small flat flake on the bottom of the 3-3/4 inch diameter foot. The gilding is in excellent condition as is the ruby stain. There may be some bubbles and straw marks but there are no other chips, flakes or cracks.
