This is a beautiful Canary/Vaseline butter dish bottom only, made by The Hobb's, Brockunier & Co. of Wheeling, WVA circa 1886. The pattern name is Hobb's No. 323 Dew Drop. It is also known as a hobnail pattern but these are large Hobnails. The bowl is 2-1/2 inches tall and 5-1/2 inches in diameter at the widest point of the body and 5-1/4 inches in diameter at the rim. The bowl has seen better days as it is cracked in several places across the bottom, up two sides and has been glued back together. There is even a small hole where the pieces come together at the very bottom. There may be some bubbles and straw marks but there are no other chips, flakes or cracks.
