This is a beautiful flint amber glass open compote in the New York Honeycomb pattern. The pattern was made by many companies at the time including Central Glass Co.; Doyle & Company; Bakewell, Pears & Col; Boston Silver & Glass and many more. This unusual color is a topaz or honey amber. The compote has just the lower portion of the bowl in the Honeycomb pattern with the balance plain. It is 7-3/8 inches tall and 10-1/8 inches in diameter at the rim. The bottom foot ring is 5 inches in diameter and shows a good deal of wear. The compote rings like a church bell when tapped. The bowl and the stand are wafer joined. The compote is in excellent condition. There may be some bubbles and straw marks but there are no chips, flakes or cracks. PLEASE NOTE; The very last picture was taken in natural overcast sunlight against a white background, just to show the actual color. Shipping includes insurance. (DRT-D-XX38)
