This is a beautiful handled olive dish in the Field Thistle pattern made by The United States Glass Co. of Pittsburgh, PA circa 1912. This is also known as a handled nappy. The original name of the pattern was US Glass No. 15142 as shown in Victorian Colored Pattern Glass, Book 5, US Glass From A to Z, by William Heacock and Fred Bickenheuser, page 157. This nappy, relish or olive dish has been squared with the corners pulled. It is 2-1/2 inches tall and 6-1/2 inches in diameter plus the handle. There may be some bubbles and straw marks but there are no chips, flakes or cracks. Shipping includes insurance. (BTMSHF-XX9)
