This is a beautiful spill holder that would hang under an oil lamp to hold the paper spills used to light the lamps. The pattern was originally made by many manufacturers as imitation cut glass during the 1880’s. Some of those makers were Doyle & Co.; Hobbs & Brockunier; George Duncan & Sons; Bryce Brothers and more. This hanging gondola shaped dish is 8-1/4 inches long by 3 inches in diameter and 4 inches high at the ends. Each end has a hole in the glass for a chain, for hanging. The glass is crystal clear. There may be some bubbles and straw marks but there are no chips, flakes or cracks. Shipping includes insurance. (DRT-C-XX9-G/E)
