EAPG BROKEN COLUMN / IRISH COLUMN Carafe Decanter

An Early American Pattern Glass carafe or decanter in the Broken Column pattern. This pattern is also known as Notched Rim and Irish Column.
Made by Columbia Glass, c. 1888 and also by U.S. Glass after 1893.
The last row toward the bottom has roughness / chipping on the high points of the column as shown in the photo but still a scarce piece to find in this EAPG pattern. Bottom of carafe has age appropriate wear. Base has a polished pontil mark; top has a thick top lip.
This carafe is very heavy for its size weighing just over 3 pounds 11 ounces. Measures 11 3/4" tall.
