A black amethyst glass eagle covered dish. Signed Levay inside cover. Base measures 8.5 in. x 7 in. Stands 7 in. tall. I believe this was a Westmoreland Glass Co. mold that was produced for the Levay distributors. The glass shows a vivid purple when held to a black light. There is no ridge at the top of the base to set the lid in. It sits on a smooth top of the base. I find this unusual but it does display well. Perhaps a flaw in the mold? No chips, nicks, cracks, etc. Well detailed.
