This is a top quality oil stone sharpening stone that measures 1 3/4" x 5.75" long. The stone is brown color, not cracked, a few edge dings, designed it appears to be used on one side only. (The side you see in the pictures or the top. It comes in a nice clean oak box that has the original labels inside the top cover. The label reads "EAGLE BAY OIL STONE FOR MACHANICS USE MADE TO CUT". This stone is in good useable condtion, and is fitted in to the box, perhaps was once glued to the bottom, as the bottom of the stone has some imperfection in it, but the top is very flat and smooth. There is a hairline crack on the bottom of the case, is tight and doesn't effect use. The box is slightly warped, but all joints are holding stong. Hard to find antique stock with case!
