Dunlap Spiral Push Drill w/6 Bits All Steel Construction
This is a nice clean, unique Spiral push drill marked "DUNLAP" . It features 8 compartments on an rotary index in the handle that have a total of 6 different sized drills in them (from 1/16"-11/64"). In this style push drill there is numbers on the side of the handle area, with the drill bit number that should fit in it, to help keep the right drill bit in the right storage compartment. Of the 6 different sizes of drills included with this push drill, all in very good used to new condition. The push drill is quite nice with about 95% of the nickel plating intact, very nicely polished finish, a few very minor scratches, most of the nickel plate wear is off the chuck sleeve, which is brass, a nice smooth spring loaded movement or use of this tool. Basically much like the North Brothers Yankee push drill in function and size, a few ounces lighter, and is 9.7" long overall. This push drill uses the Goodell Pratt style drill bits with the 4 parallel notches on the shank. Some of the differences between the Stanley Yankee, and this Dunlap push drill, is that the drill bits are a bit harder to get out of the handle, particularly the larger sizes, and there is no knurling on the handle. Makes this a nice sleek looking drill! Works great, with a good spring and good working screw chuck. A Nice clean tool!
