Dunlap Machinist Screwdriver Wood Handle Rare! 8 inch

Quantity available: 1

This is a clean, very rare, heavy duty 8.5" long machinist screwdriver, marked "DUNLAP 4" BK" on the square area near the handle. That square area you see in the pictures is the feature that most defines the machinist screwdriver, as it was designed to give the user the opting to use this screwdriver in combination with a wrench, for additional torque purposes, so the flared shank and refined cast steel was also design to take the additional torque. This one is in very good used condition with a two wood section handle grip area, a oblong shaped, or "PERFECT HANDLE" designed handle. The wood is solid, very well attached, a few very small dings in the wood noted, larger than normal steel rivot heads, very nice design. We do note that one of the wood sections has shrunk a little bit, so there is a slight seperation on one side between the steel and the wood, but this section doesn't move at all, solid mounting. The steel is clean and straight, not rusty or bent up, and a nice 5/16" wide tip with minimal wear. The end cap is all metal on this one, so the wood is well protected at the ends. One of the nicer ones we have seen in this style!
