Dunlap 2 Speed Breast Drill Nice!

$50.00
Quantity available: 1

This is a super clean, 2 speed hand crank breast drill marked "DUNLAP MADE IN U.S.A. 107" on the adjustable crank handle. It measures about 16.7" long overall, with a 3 jaw, drill chuck, for standard round shank drill bits up to 1/2" diameter. This one has over 70% of both the red and black paint intact on the steel, clean, not rusty. There are two handles included, a crank handle that is more a rosewood color and a side support handle with more of a maple finish.  Both handles are in very good working order, both sturdy and well attached.  The wear is minor on the handles, some minor scratches and dings, solid with good metal threads and center shaft. The breast plate is adjustable, and the geared crank wheel can be moved from one locating hole to the other to change the gear ratio, (2 speed), and this model has the threaded side nut that when loosened permits the gear mesh adjustment for speed change, one of two speeds to choose from.  All the gears are in good++ condition, engage nicely, turn smoothly. The chuck has been clean and oiled and is in great shape overall. The breast plate, like the rest of this tool shows some paint wear, but clean and no cracks or damage.  Very smooth operation! A very well made, nice looking tool, by a well known maker!
