To a rare 19th C. French ladies dressing stand (demi-pedrouse). This one is developed in South American Tulip wood with rich floral inlay. The two wings which open are fitted for dressing porcelain accoutrements which are now missing. The center sectioned is hinged with mirror and below is a draw fitted for writing with leather tooled top and inkwell compartments. It is good condition with fine patina. In the period, these were brought to ladies of quality in their bed in the morning for their toilette. Louis XV style, mid-late 19th C. The piece is neatly cross-banded with lined inlay retaining the original cabriole legs ending in pad feet.
