Disston 26" Cross Cut Hand Saw K-6
Offering this 1940's era scew back cross cut saw with the medallion nickel plated with the balance scale well defined. Marked on the Medallion, "DISSTON * U.S.A. *". The steel blade is fairly straight, with one very minor wave noted, cuts good. The blade has etching on it, and reads: "KEYSTONE K-6 CHALLENGER BY HENRY DISSTON U.S.A." on the steel which is clean and polished, with very light pitting, and staining noted on the blade, clean, some darkening of the steel in places. The teeth set and points are in very good, ready to cut condition. The previous owner spent quite a bit of time keeping his saw in tip top condition. I count 8 points per inch on this saw. The handle is a nice wood, beech, in very good solid condition. The handle is not cracked, and fits tightly to the blade. Some of the finish is intact, looks nice. Less than average wear, minor dings and edge chips. Overall a in very good useable condition. A nice well cared for hand-saw!
