This is a really nice carnival glass compote in the Double Stem Rose pattern. It was made by Diamond Glass Company of Indiana, PA. circa 1916. The company continued production of this pattern until about 1926. Thomas and Alfred Dugan took over the factory in 1903 that was once the Northwood Glass Co. up to 1901 when The National Glass Combine purchased it. National Glass went out of business in 1903. And it was renamed Dugan Glass Co. The Dugan’s ran it until 1913. Then the Dugan’s left, and the company continued under the ownership of John P. Elkin and it was renamed Diamond Glass Co. The Marigold Carnival glass bowl has six roses around the side and one in the bottom with six propeller like blades between each rose. The finish is a beautiful iridescent Marigold or Peach color. The color is very even over the entire surface with the domed foot being mostly clear. It is 7-3/8 inches in diameter and 4 inches tall. The dome foot is 4-1/8 inches in diameter. There may be some bubbles and straw marks but there are chips, flakes or cracks. Shipping includes insurance. (BTMSHF-XXX2)
