Description:
There are some things that a picture just doesn't do justice to, and this little vase is one of those things. It is a small Zsolnay vase in their classic Eosin glaze. The iridesence of this glaze is almost in the league with Tiffany. Of course it shows itself differently in differing lights, but it is basically a beautiful blue/green with golden highlights. The pattern is a lovely sinuous Art Noveau style. The dealer who owns it, has it displayed on a shelf with some very nice glass, but this dimunitive little gem imediately grabs your attention. Measuring 2 3/4" tall, and 3 1/2" wide, it is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. I was not able to determine its age, but I don't think it is very old. The maker's mark is shown in one of the photos. I was not able to determine its age, but I don't think it is very old, but whatever its age, it is a fine example of this prestigous company's excellent work.
