Description: This embroidered silk souvenir banner was made in India as a take-home for U.S. military personnel during WW II. This piece is decorated with a representation of the Taj Mahal. The cloth is blue silk, with fringe border, and pink tone mesh backing. The design is done in pink, silver and gold tone thread. There are a few minor thread snags, but overall it is in excellent condition. The size is about 15½" x 15½". This is an attractive ornamental banner.
