Description: This embroidered silk souvenir banner was made in India as a take-home for U.S. military personnel during WW II. This piece is decorated with a representation of the Taj Mahal. The cloth is purple silk, with fringe border, and the design is done in silver and gold tone thread. There are a few minor thread snags and stains on back. Overall it is in very good condition. The size is 17" x 17". This is an attractive ornamental banner.
