Description: Lovely Victorian oak & brass Coal Scuttle with fitted removable interior and matching oak handled shovel. Beautiful quarter-sawn oak with a nice rich patina with a decorative knob on the hinged front. Nicely turned brass handle. Originally designed for coal to be used in a formal reception room during Victorian times, it now works well for logs, fat-wood, newspaper and even magazines.
