Description: Oil on canvas, framed. Signed and dated lower left: "HG Witte 1955". Inscribed canvas verso: "Tale First Day 1/24/55 HGW p.34". Stamped stretcher verso: "Made in Holland". Dimensions: Canvas: 12 x 16in. Frame: 17 x 20 1/2in. Weight: 4lbs. (Box G) Condition: Surface of the work is dirty and could benefit from a cleaning. Minor wear to surface paint, including small areas of light staining scattered throughout. Otherwise, good condition overall with no evidence of inpainting when examined under u.v. light.
