OFFERED HERE IS: William Alfred Gibson, British 1866-1931, Oil on Canvas Painting in Excellent , all Original condition .
Unframed Size: 23" x 32" ( 58.4 cm x 81.3 cm ) . This is an amazing seascape with vivid , original colors, rich impasto, and the painting is reasonably clean and ready to frame. There are no repairs. The canvas is still fairly subtle, not being brittle at all. The stretcher board is the original as far as I can tell. The canvas is still reasonably tight and does not need to be re-stretched. The nails that hold the canvas to the stretcher board are all original !
Signed by the artist, lower left, and dated by the artist under his signature, "W.A. Gibson 1922"
This is a wonderful example of Gibson's work and worthy of any fine collection.
