Description: A William Adams & Sons Ltd., Staffordshire, illustrations from Romeo & Juliet by Shakespeare basket bowl, ca. 1900-1910. The bowl has a raised relief lattice midsection with blue accents and hand painted brown trim. The exterior is ivory with a band of brown with floral, foliate, fish, and urn decorations trimmed in blue. The bottom of the interior depicts the balcony scene from Romeo & Juliet in green, red, blue, and white. It has open corded handles and six flared stubby feet trimmed in blue. It bears the stamped Adams logo and pattern mark on the bottom. Shipping quoted upon sale.
