Description: Through the states of OHIO, MICHIGAN, INDIANA, ILLINOIS, MISSOURI, IOWA, AND WISCONSIN, and the territories of MINESOTA, MISSOURI, AND NEBRASKA. Printed 1855, copyrighted 1850. Large hand-colored map measuring 22" x 26" folding into original dark brown cloth covers. Bright and Excellent. A large handsome map with an ornamental border and with the townships or districts highlited in color. The map itself is titled, "Guide through Ohio, Michigan, et. al., by J. Calvin Smith." Minor damp-staining throughout. Previous booksellers embosed design on fron free endpages. Cover has moderate wear affecting the gilding. Overall a VERY GOOD minus condition book.
