Description:
An attractive Late 20th Century Welsh Bone China plate of masonic interest. Such pieces are typically presented to the ladies accompanying lodge members to their annual Ladies Festival as souvenirs of the happy occasion, in this case that celebrated in 1986 by Moelwyn Lodge, No. 3669, meeting at Blaenau Ffestiniog in the masonic Province of North Wales. The piece bears an armorial device of a dragon and leek together with the Lodge name and number, the date of the festival, and the legend in both Welsh and English, "Hwyrnos I'n Boneddigesau" - "Ladies Evening". The underside clearly marked in undergaze blue "Crochendy Crefftaur Cantref WALES" within a circular cartouche. Width : 6.25 inches : Year 1986.
