12 Wedgwood Plates-Miss Porter's School Farmington
Description: Twelve Stoneware Luncheon Plates Decorated with Black Engraved Scenes of Miss Porter's School in Farmington, Connecticut. The plates are circular with a scalloped rim and deep well.

There is one plate for each of the following places: "Humphrey," "Gay House," "Lathrop," "Ward," "The Gundy," "New Place," "Adgate (Leila Dilworth Jones Memorial Library)," "Brick," "Main House," "Colony," "The Headmaster's House," and "The Congregational Church."

On the underside of all but one plate is printed "Miss Porter's School, Farmington, Connecticut, Founded 1843." The exception is "The Congregational Church" on the back of which is stamped "Farmington, Connecticut." Also on the underside of each plate are printed the maker's marks and impressed a date stamp from the 1950s. REMEMBER SECOND SUBJECT 39727 Dimensions: Each: 1" High, 10" Diameter. Total Weight: 13 lbs. Condition: Apart from a few minor black scuffs the condition is near fine. There are no signs of use.
