Description:
This is a vintage jug or pitcher with a figural hound or dog handle made by Wedgwood, England in the 1940s. The jug or pitcher features a hunting design that in later versions is identified as John Peel from the old folk song beginning D'ye Ken (Know) John Peel. The jug has the wonderful majolica green glaze Wedgwood is famous for. The jug or pitcher measures 4 inches high by 4.75 inches long by 3.5 in diameter and is in excellent, mint condition with no chips, cracks or wear. Lovely!
