Description: A fantastic piece of Victorianna and one of the most unusual combination hi-chairs/rockers we have ever seen. The Eastlake styling is apparent in the top rail of the chair. Burled panels set off with incised line borders and a spray of spoon carving in the center. This chair still has older hand caning in the seat and back and a removable half round tray with the original spring steel and cast latches. There are no moving "scissor" parts on this design. It simply unhooks at the top, pins guide the seat through grooved tracks and it flips over backwards to settle into it's new use as a rocker. A true collector's item. Size available on request.
