Description:
This is a nice artistic table box that you can use to store all sorts of things! It is in nice shape with nice geometric designs on the four sides and leaf shapes in green on the top, all are inlay. It measures 3 1/4 x 6 1/2 x 10". The wood inlay on the sides is 1/16" thick, and I don't know how thick on the top leaf inlay, and I'm not sure what the material is used seen in the green and white leaves, and center wheel. It is very nicely done, with a few smaller dings on the various surfaces, but not bad for it's age. Amazingly the all the inlay is still in place! The inside has some old felt in green on the top and bottom and the top is covered with an old paper decoration as you can see in the pictures. The paper is worn and torn a bit, and the felt is worn, but not bad. Looks like there used to be an old lock set, which has been removed at sometime in the past. The box construction is solid, good firm joints, nice select hardwoods, no cracks in the wood. Just an outstanding box I think, because of the artistic design and attention to detail! Inside sizes are 8 1/2 x 5 1/4 x 1 3/4".
