Description:
Very fine 19th century cigar cabinet in walnut or mahogany, the wood is rich & lustrous & the wood grain is very fine. There are four highly decorative gutta percha panels with black forest style hunt scenes with deer & dogs that decorate the top front & sides of this cabinet. The inside consists of four fitted pull out trays with one drawer at the bottom. Impressive large size being 12 ½”wide x 9”high x 9 ¼”deep. All over absolute perfect condition, excluding the lock on front bottom which may or may not be working. Circa last half of the 19th century. This humidor is pictured & listed in the book of boxes as a prime example of an exceptional box.
