This very attractive Solid Salad/Berry Spoon is in the Baroque Pattern. This piece measures approximately 9 1/4 inches long and weighs about 4.605ozt. The Baroque pattern was issued in 1941. It is excellent condition and in the original Wallace bag.
Wallace Silversmiths were orignally founded by Robert Wallace, the descendent of enterprising Scottish immigrants, in an old grist mill making spoons under the name R. WALLACE & CO.
The company continued and prospered and continued to operate, under various owners in Wallingford, Connecticut until 1986. Meriden and its neighboring town of Wallingford were famed for being the home to the finest New England silversmiths for centuries.
