This is an antique Belgium waffle iron that was used in the fire place. The piece is in excellent condition and has a gorgeous patina to the brass. The small iron "hook" at the end of the handles secures the closure of this waffle iron and makes it so easy to hang in a wall composition of vintage kitchenware in a "country kitchen" or one that is trying to create a French Cottage Look.
The waffle iron measures, overall 13 inches long, the brass waffle iron measures 2 7/8 inches long and 3 1/4 inches wide. The piece is found unmarked and in excellent condition. Purchase through a French antique dealer whom I purchase from, she travels to the states twice a year to sell her European antiques, she advised that she had pick up this waffle iron at an estate sale in Belgium.
