Description: Here we have a very beautiful compote made by Von Schierholz. The history of Von Schierholz dates back to 1817 and they made some of the most beautiful porcelain pieces in Germany. This compote is designed with three children holding hands and running with their different colored scarves flying in the wind. There are also a lot of applied flowers and great colorful detail. Overall its in good condition considering all the applied foliage. I did find 2 red flowers along the top that have chipped or missing petals. It's really not noticeable but I wanted to point that out. This is a very stunning piece. I'm not sure what year it was manufactured. It did come out of a wonderful old Victorian estate in Galveston Texas.
