This Is A Vintage 1940's/1950's Volupte (makeup) Compact. The Volupte company was founded in 1920. Shields, Inc. had bought the company in 1957, then closed it in the 1960s.

A Genuine Collector's Item By VOLUPTE . A Swinglok Volupte Compact.

This Volupte Compact Has The Revolutionary New Swinglok and size 11 puffs.

The Compact Itself Is A Gold Color Material That Opens And Closes As Shown. Has A Mirror. The powder lid is impressed, “VOLUPTE U.S.A.”

Is heavy for it's size; nice weight to it. Not sure of metal type.

Dimensions: About 3" x 3".

Condition: Very good overall condition. The exterior finish has a little wear to the metal. The mirror is in fantastic condition! NO fade and NO scratches! JUST LIKE BRAND NEW!
