Description: This vintage wall pocket/planter of the Virgin Mary was made to look like a picture frame when hung on the wall. The white pottery planter also sits flat on a shelf or table and has gold scrolling details around the frame and highlights on the image. The picture like appearance of the Madonna is done in soft pastels and shows her kind face with lovely expression. The condition is very good with no damage but some roughness on the base that was part of the manufacturing process and age crazing. The bottom has a tiny red and gold sticker with Made in Japan. The inside is clean with little evidence of former use as a planter. It has a double hanging hole. This is a really wonderful addition for a wallpocket or religious collector.
