Description: This lovely old brooch has the micro mosaic inset into black onyx or glass which forms this pretty rectangular frame. This is in a raised bale setting and has ornate metal beadwork to complete this piece. The black makes me think it might be a mourning piece with the individual flowers in the center. The tiles are intact and original. I have seen this listed in a few of the Victorian and deco Jewelry books. Just needs a light polishing on one side. This is 1 ¼" long and 7/8" wide.Since this is an Irreplaceable work of art there can be no returns on this sale.
