Description:
This is a very nice, clean fancy design tooled leather box with a folding snap front lid on the top. It is marked "MEXICO" in the center of the lid flap, just above the flap. Both sides, ends, and top and bottom are tooled leather with various fancy designs! The exterior is very nice with only minor wear noted, mostly on the top hinges at the corners, otherwise very nice. The inside is a felt lined material tan in color, some minor wear in a few spot, not dirty, quite nice overall. The lower section of the box is most likely made of thin wood frame, all leather covered as is is solid in shape, good square corners, well constructed. It appears that there may have been an insert tray in the box at one time as there is a ledge on both sides noted for one to set on. We do not have the tray insert if there was one originally. The snap works fine, and is also marked "MEXICO". A quality made souvenir from Mexico!
