Description: This is a delightful old electric juicer with a chrome base and upper section, green metal in the center, and crowned with a heavy jadite green glass bowl. The bowl has a pour spout coming out of the bottom side, so that you can squeeze your orange right into a glass. How handly is that? The chrome base has 3 screw holes for fastening the appliance onto a surface. On the front, affixed to the green metal, is a circular name plate in silver and 2 shades of green that says: Type BMU, Chicago Electric Mfg. Co., Sunkist Juicit, Trade Marks Registered, Use on Alternating Current Only. The Bowl lifts off for easy cleaning, and has a heavy aluminum strainer that rests inside to catch the seeds. Under the bowl, on the chrome top, is engraved: 110-120 volts, 50 60 cycle, 125 watts, Chicago Electric Mfg. Co., A Handyhot Product, Pat. Nos. 196, Made in U.S.A. There is a little hole in the top for oil. Condition: Jadeite Bowl has very tiny chip on inside rim, and 2 miniscule nicks on the inside rim of the hole for attaching to the post on the base. Aluminum strainer, near mint. Chrome, excellent ( faint, minor scratches; some speckles; almost no rust ) . Green painted section: Very good to excellent, with minor paint loss all around except for an area on the front where is looks like it was rubbed off during cleaning ( see photo ) . The cord is in excellent condition. Porcelain reamer has some small nicks on the ribs, 2 hairline cracks that do not appear to threaten the integrity of the reamer, and a chip at the base ( see photo ) . BEST OF ALL, IT WORKS!
