Description: This is a nice vintage tool made by Stanley, #7 Hurwood Scratch Awl. Made from 1905-74. Tool is 6" long. Handle is hickory and is 1 7/8" long and 1 5/8" wide at its widest. The handle has 2 flat sides. There is no rust on the tool, and no chips in the wood or dents in the metal. The tool is marked "Stanley" (in notched rectangle logo)/ HURWOOD/ NO. 7/ MADE IN U.S.A.The steel shaft is straight and extends up to the handle.
