Description:
This little dog wall pocket is usually referred to as the "Scottie at
the fence". It may actually be another type of Terrier but Dog
and Wall Pocket collectors both love this
adorable wall pocket. The Scottie/Terrier is in
shades
of brown and white. A reddish orange collar
around the neck matches the tongue. The dog stands
next to a fence. This same pocket was also made with
2 other colors of fence. This is the rarer harder to find blue
fence. See my inventory for one with a brown fence and the
other with a red fence. The different
colors look great grouped
together. Ask me for a "deal on all three."
The pocket is in good condition but does have 2 small
hairline cracks on the back which I have shown in one of the
pictures. This blue version is so hard to find that I still feel it is
a good buy even with the hairlines. The pocket is structurally
sound and the hanging hole is not affected. Hand painting on
these older pockets was casual and did not always stay
within the lines. You see some extra dots of color but these are
just part of the charm of hand painted pieces. The back has a
stamped red Japan mark and a
impressed Japan. This is a really nice wall pocket to add to any
collection. Check my inventory for other wallpockets.
