Item Description:
This exquisite solid oak vintage bookcase has a bevelled edge top over lead glazed glass doors with rose' tinted glass in two shades (the upper corners are tinted slightly darker). Fluted accents flow down the sides of the front. The wooden shelves are removable but not adjustable. There is a key present that works in the the three cabinet doors but not in the three drawers. The base has two cabinets and three drawers. The lower cabinet doors are paneled inside and have accent carved panels on the facings. Each of these lower cabinets has a removable top shelf. The three smooth operating drawers have a raised trim, accent carvings, large round antiqued brass knob pulls and are crafted using dovetail joinery. This gorgeous bookcase stands proudly on angled sloping front feet supported by trestle-like stretchers under a semi-circle cut skirt. What a beautiful addition to your home or office!
Condition:
The finish shows wear near the center of the upper cabinet doors. There are chips missing from the lower edge of the upper cabinet on the right side. (See detail pictures). These minor imperfections do not distract from the overall beauty and usefullness of this marvelous piece. Make it yours today!
