Fine Vintage SILVER Plated BRIDES BASKET Bowl
ITEM DESCRIPTION
This is a lovely vintage silver plated "bride's basket" handled basket shaped serving bowl . It has a beautiful fluted pattern and gadrooning on the handle. The bowl is slightly oval shaped and quite large (dimensions are below). The handle folds down and out of the way to make it easier to remove items from it. This would make an elegant serving bowl for bread ... candy ... fruit ... or just about anything. This lovely piece of silver plate is both sophisticated and elegant. It is marked merely with the style number of the piece but bears no maker's marks (see photo). Age (ca.) c1950 Dimensions It measures 10-1/2" X 8". The bowl is 4" deep. Condition Excellent condition. Beautiful unpolished patina -- we have not polished it (merely buffed off the majority of the tarnish) as many prefer their own brand of polishing. No dings or dents. No plate wear. Provenance This item is from a the estate of a 95 year old woman who not only collected the finest things, she had numerous pieces that she inherited from parents and grandparents.
