Description: Vintage Sewing Box With Shells. These were made as souvenirs from the late 1800’s up to the 1940’s. They came from the coastal areas that had a high traffic of tourists. They were all hand made and being hand made they are all different. This one has a silk heart stuffed with saw dust, for the pin cushion. The cardboard does show some age spots on the inside and bottom. This box was found in a trunk full of souvenirs from all over the East coast. It will make a super addition to your sewing collection, or a great gift.
