Description:
Vintage sewing basket and assortment of sewing notions. This is a neat old sewing basket with wood bottom, blue satin lining. Inside are some collectibles items too! First is a really neat German Our Pals Needle-Book, a Dosco Product. Showing some wear and has tape on the edge, some needles still in it; next is an old pin cushion; next is a Coats & Clark's Embroidery Stiches pamphlet feturing 100 stitches, c:1972; next is an English needle pack of nickel plated Sheffield Steel gold eye needles, (5 needles in pack); next is a cool Coca Cola sewing tin; next are a bunch of silk and cotton thread from various companies most on wood spools; small scissors, and some other items. Age estimate: 1930's-40's. Newer baskets do not have wood bottoms, the bottoms are usually corkboard or plastic.
