Description: For sale is a vintage Royal Holland pewter porringer. Great manly gift! This is the first porringer I have come across with a lid, which makes it especially nice. It has an impressed mark on the bottom which says: Daalderop Royal Holland Pewter, KMD. It also has another mark in an oval which I cannot read. As you can see from the pictures, the exterior has gained a nice soft grey patina compared with the newer looking interior, which has not aged much yet. The inside also contains an engraved mark which was likely put on later when this was given as a golf or tennis trophy. This mark says: Stoneycroft Hills Club First Flight Winner 1978. There is a Stoneycroft Club in Michigan as well as in England. Quite an attractive porringer, wouldn't you agree? Priced to go!
