Born in 1895 in the Netherlands, Anton Pieck enjoyed a prolific and renowned career as an illustrator, painter, and engraver. His artistic works are distinguished by its whimsical and nostalgic style, rooted from fables and folktales that became his signature. Due to his imagination, he was hired to design the initial plans for Efteling in the Netherlands, a fairy-tale based theme park. He was honored in 1984 with a museum dedicated to his work in his home country. He is Holland’s beloved equivalent to America’s Norman Rockwell.
