Description:
For sale is a vintage red rooster kitchenn assortment. (cannister set, spice set, and hamburger press). 3 cool items featuring red roosters! First is a complete cannister set featuring hand painted roosters. This one has a blue & silver foil label on the bottom of the coffee cannister which reads: Hand Painted Betson's Made in Japan. All the cannisters, (coffee, tea, & sugar & flour, including the lids, all stack into the large flour container too!) They are all in good display condition but the back of the coffee cannister has one horizontal split in the wood; and the front of the tea cannister has some black smudgy marks, (looks like the black coloring in the word Tea may have ran a bit). Also, each rooster picture is slightly different, by design, on each cannister. Next is a spice set with 4 containers: Allspice, Salt; Paprika and Pepper. Each are 3 tall x 1.75 wide. Bottoms have incised Japan mark. Last is a hamburger press with red rooster. Back of hamburger press has black stamp: Marbo Japan. It is 5.5 wide, good display condition too. Great items for a country kitchen, especially if roosters are your theme. Most of these wood items were made in the 1950's and earlier. You can see these items in most of the books on vintage kitchen collectibles.
